The transformation of Australia's energy system
Presented by the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering Energy Forum and Victorian Division
Australia’s energy system is undergoing a major transformation, rapidly evolving from reliance on coal-fired power stations to a future of renewable energy like wind and solar and the rise of consumer energy resources such as rooftop solar and battery energy storage systems. Urgent investment is needed in both infrastructure and new technology, to ensure reliable, secure and affordable electricity supply in a net-zero future.
This presentation will explore the challenges ahead as the country undergoes this historic transition.
